Focusing on four aspects, the strategic research and consulting project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering was successfully launched, dedicated to breaking through the development bottlenecks of thTime:2025-07-23 At present, the development of the fiber products industry for emergency security in our country is confronted with problems such as weak research foundation, lack of core technologies, weak innovation capacity and incomplete standardization system. To clarify the development path of the industry and lead the high-quality development of the emergency security fiber products industry, on July 16th, the kick-off meeting of the strategic research and consulting project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, "Research on the Development Strategy of Emergency Security Fiber Products and Their Industry", was held in Yantai, Shandong Province in a hybrid online and offline format. Sun Ruizhe, president of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, and Wang Xiaowen, director of the Office of the Department of Environmental and Light Textile Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the meeting. It is urgent to achieve high-quality and leapfrog development to provide strategic support for enhancing the public safety level of the entire population. Subsequently, she, on behalf of the overall group, elaborately introduced the research objectives, research contents, expected outcomes, research plans, team composition, budget and framework division of labor of the project. Li Guimei stated that the project team will, based on the current development status of the emergency security fiber products industry, the list of key technologies that are bottlenecks, and the standardization system, formulate a list of breakthroughs and implementation paths to promote domestic emergency security fiber products and their industry, providing strong support for decision-making by the state and relevant departments. Si Yang, a researcher from the Textile Science and Technology Innovation Center of Donghua University, delivered the opening report on behalf of the Natural Disaster Group. He explored the current industrial development status of emergency security fiber products in the field of natural disasters, key "bottleneck" technologies, and factors restricting high-quality development. Centering on the types of accidents and disasters, he pointed out the current development bottlenecks of the emergency security fiber products industry in this field and put forward key special projects and policy suggestions. The research focuses on products such as arc protective clothing, melt splash protective clothing, explosion-proof clothing, and high-altitude operation protective clothing, clarifying their current status in terms of materials, equipment, processes, and domestic and international development trends, and proposing collaborative research and optimization plans to enhance the core competitiveness of the industry. Professor Liu Xin from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Wuhan Textile University delivered the opening report on behalf of the Public Emergency Group. Facing the current situation of insufficient innovation in medical protective products and reliance on imported core materials, as well as the demand for lightweight and multi-functional military and police products, he pointed out that the focus will be on analyzing the domestic and international development and industrial chain of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and aramid products. Focus on the fiber raw materials, spinning and weaving, and independent development capabilities of products such as chemical protective textiles, bulletproof suits, cut and puncture resistant suits, and low-equivalent ionizing radiation protective textiles, strive to address the gap between China and foreign countries, and explore the implementation path for high-quality development in this field. During the expert discussion and exchange session, Academician Jiang Shicheng, Academician Xu Weilin, Academician Sun Jinliang, Academician Sun Yize, Academician Wang Yuzhong, Li Lingshen, Vice president of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, as well as representatives from various universities, research institutes and enterprises respectively put forward opinions and suggestions on the research ideas, methods, key contents and goals of the project.
