On the afternoon of March 11, 2026, the 2026 Xuzhou (Shanghai) High-End Textile Industry Investment Promotion Conference was successfully held at the National Exhibition Center (Shanghai). This conference, leveraging the China Textile Association's Spring Exhibition in Shanghai platform, was the first time that Xuzhou organized the three major county-level high-end textile clusters of Peixian, Suining County, and Xinyi City to present themselves in Shanghai. With the theme of "Weaving the Future, 'Xuzhou' Writing a New Chapter", it comprehensively showcased the industrial advantages and investment prospects, and established an efficient platform for government and enterprise collaboration. 

Yan Yan, the vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, Shen Junfeng, the secretary of the Communist Party of China Standing Committee and mayor of Xuzhou City, and Cao Zhi, the vice mayor of Xuzhou City, attended the promotion meeting. Representatives from the national textile industry association and universities and research institutions, relevant department heads from Xuzhou City and its various counties and districts, and nearly a hundred well-known national textile and clothing enterprises and industry experts gathered together to discuss the cultivation of new quality productive forces in the textile industry. 

Set a goal of 100 billion and create a "Xuzhou model" for the textile industry transformation 

Mayor Shen Junfeng pointed out that Xuzhou's textile industry possesses three major advantages: industrial support, factor supply, and transportation and logistics. Currently, Xuzhou is experiencing multiple opportunities for development, and it will focus on cultivating high-end textiles as a key advantageous industry, aiming to build a characteristic industrial cluster worth hundreds of billions. Based on the start of the "15th Five-Year Plan", Xuzhou will continue to strengthen the industrial chain, supply chain, and extension of the textile industry, optimize the business environment, provide high-quality services to support enterprise development, and ensure that investors truly enjoy "investment in Xuzhou, peace of mind and satisfaction". President Yan Yan stated that 2026 is a crucial year for the textile industry to cultivate new quality productive forces. Xuzhou will deeply focus on the high-end textile industry, forming an industrial layout with distinct characteristics in Peixian, Suining, and Xinyi, and has embarked on a transformation path that is clustered, high-end, and green. It has also proposed development suggestions for Xuzhou's industrial development, emphasizing innovation and science and technology as the core, clusters as the foundation, and integration as the wings. 

Each county showcases its unique strengths and builds a solid foundation for industrial development. 

During the county promotion session, Liu Yi, the deputy secretary and mayor of Peixian County, Yang Yuanchao, the deputy secretary and mayor of Suining County, and Chen Lin, the deputy secretary and mayor of Xinyi City, took the stage respectively and made special presentations about their respective industrial advantages. Peixian County has gathered over a hundred textile enterprises, forming a complete industrial chain, with a focus on developing green textiles; Suining County is one of the largest global producers of spandex core-spun yarns, enjoying significant advantages in logistics costs, and is accelerating the construction of a national high-level textile industrial base; Xinyi City has cultivated new leading enterprises such as Xinfengming, establishing core advantages in the chemical fiber field, and mainly targeting the high-end chemical fiber new material industry. All three regions have planned to build specialized textile parks, and their infrastructure and industrial support are becoming increasingly complete, jointly forming a solid foundation for the high-end textile industry in Xuzhou. 

Improving business environment leads to successful project implementation 

The representative of Xuzhou's investment enterprises stated that the city's well-established textile industry ecosystem, excellent business environment services, and convenient transportation location have provided strong impetus for the development of enterprises. In the future, they will fully exert the role of the leading enterprise, increase research and development investment, delve into high-end fields, and also conduct business attraction and cooperation to encourage high-quality enterprises in the upstream and downstream sectors to settle down, thereby helping to continuously improve the textile industry ecosystem of Xuzhou. 

At the current promotion event, 6 high-end textile industry cooperation projects of high quality were showcased in a concentrated manner. The total investment reached 7.63 billion yuan, covering various specialized fields such as electro-spun yarn, high-end fabrics, industrial textiles, and new textile materials. This not only vividly demonstrated the advantages of the development of high-end textile industry in Xuzhou, but also reflected the high recognition of the national textile industry towards the industrial strength and business environment of Xuzhou. 

This promotional event not only showcased the strong capabilities and development potential of Xuzhou's high-end textile industry, but also provided a high-quality platform for Xuzhou and the national textile industry to engage in exchanges and cooperation and achieve win-win development. In the future, Xuzhou will continue to deeply focus on the high-end textile industry, strengthening cluster empowerment, technological innovation, and service guarantees.
