New materials lead the trend, gathering chains to form momentum! The 7th China Textile New Materials Exhibition sketches a new picture of industrial developmentTime:2025-11-19 At present, new textile materials have become an important force in promoting the green transformation of global industries, empowering fashion innovation and sustainable development. Driven by the dual goals of "dual carbon" and the upgrading of consumption, the research and development of new materials not only concerns the competitiveness of the industry, but also shoulders the mission of leading a green lifestyle and building a circular economy system in this era. On November 6th, the 7th China Textile New Materials Exhibition was held in response to the trend, with the theme of "Exploring the New World". It gathered the vanguard forces of the industrial chain and built a high-end platform integrating display, exchange and cooperation, initiating a deep dialogue concerning technology, ecology and business possibilities. This exhibition is jointly organized by the China Filament Weaving Association and the Shaoxing International Chamber of Commerce, and co-organized by Zhejiang Sanbo Exhibition Co., LTD. The exhibition not only focuses on the concentrated presentation of new fibers and new fabrics, but also is committed to breaking through the industrial closed loop from research and development to application, helping enterprises to grasp trends, integrate resources, and expand new paths of cooperation in multi-dimensional interaction. On the first day of the event, Zhao Wendong, the president of the Shaoxing Council for the Promotion of International Trade, met and exchanged views with Sheikh Zad Ahmed Khan, the Consul General of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Shanghai, further enhancing the international influence of the exhibition. Cutting-edge achievements outline the "technological map" of new materials As a "concentrated review ground" for the industry's innovative strength, this exhibition has attracted many leading enterprises and representative exhibition groups to showcase their significant achievements. Focusing on directions such as green and low-carbon, health functions, and intelligent interaction, it has presented a "technological competition" in the field of new materials, directly showcasing the cutting-edge picture of technological breakthroughs in the industry. The nano-modified eco-friendly functional fabric launched by Changzhou Henglibao has achieved a deep integration of product performance and sustainable attributes. It not only meets the durability requirements of terminal scenarios but also reduces the environmental footprint in the production and usage processes. Yisheng New Materials has brought about the industrialization achievements of bio-based materials, further expanding the application boundaries of renewable raw materials in the textile field and providing a feasible path for the industry to reduce its reliance on fossil resources. The high-performance fibers and recycled environmental protection materials exhibited by enterprises such as Shanghai Dekai and Shandong Xiyou Technology, with their mature technical processes and stable quality, demonstrate the "hard power" of Chinese textile enterprises in the research and development of green materials. The exhibition group of the New Materials Center of China Textile City has gathered enterprises such as Ningbo Somati, Weiqiao Textile, and Taiji Stone to present systematic and innovative displays, building an efficient bridge for precise connection between the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. Among them, the intelligent temperature-controlled fiber developed by Weiqiao Textile can dynamically adjust its heat preservation performance according to the ambient temperature, breaking the "passive adaptation" limitation of traditional textile materials. The antibacterial fabric of Taiji Stone has successfully entered high-demand scenarios such as medical protection due to its excellent antibacterial effect. The new polyester fibers and high-end nylon products exhibited by industry giants such as Tongkun Group and Hengli Company, with their superior strength, toughness and environmental protection indicators, have become the focus of attention for on-site merchants. It is worth noting that this exhibition has broken through the traditional single model and achieved concurrent co-hosting with the World Textile Conference, Textile Expo and Printing Equipment Exhibition, forming a "super exhibition matrix" covering the entire chain from raw material research and development, equipment manufacturing to finished product application. This collaborative model not only realizes resource sharing and traffic aggregation, but also enables exhibitors and visitors to have a "one-stop" understanding of the entire industrial chain, significantly reducing the cost of supply and demand matching and efficiently capturing high-value business opportunities. Empower precisely to enhance the efficiency and experience of participation To enhance the efficiency and experience of participation, this exhibition takes "precise matching" as its core logic and plans five core exhibition areas, systematically presenting the innovative achievements of each link in the industrial chain to meet the professional needs of merchants from different fields. The functional fabric zone focuses on water-repellent, antibacterial, moisture-wicking, sun-protective, heat-generating and other functional products, serving the procurement needs of outdoor sports, clothing brands, home textiles and other fields, helping enterprises quickly obtain high-performance fabric solutions. The intelligent equipment area showcases intelligent spinning, automated weaving, digital printing, intelligent cutting and inspection equipment, providing customized services from single machine upgrades to entire factory planning, helping enterprises achieve "intelligent manufacturing transformation". The fiber yarn area is covered with improved varieties of traditional fibers and new materials such as bio-based, recycled and conductive fibers, becoming a source platform for fabric enterprises and yarn manufacturers to optimize their supply chains. The high-end weaving zone showcases high-value-added woven and knitted fabrics as well as industrial textiles, targeting high-end clothing, luxury goods, automotive interiors and other fields, highlighting the dual competitiveness of quality and design. The traditional Chinese embroidery jacquard area, with culture as its thread, integrates traditional techniques such as Suzhou embroidery and jacquard with modern design, showcasing the market potential of national trend textiles and attracting the attention of purchasers of clothing, cultural and creative products, and cultural tourism projects. In addition to product displays and business negotiations, during the exhibition, two major events, the 2025 China Textile New Materials Forum and the National Trend Fashion Show, respectively injected new impetus into the industry from the perspectives of technology and aesthetics. The New Materials Forum invites authoritative experts and enterprise representatives from home and abroad to conduct in-depth discussions on core topics such as the research and development of low-carbon materials, the application of functional fibers, and the implementation of circular technologies. The theme sharing sessions such as "Fiber Yarn Trends and New Material Paths for Fabric Development", "Hemp: The Fashion Rebirth of the Everlasting Clothing Ancestor", and "Plant Soft Gold: Innovation and Application of Kapok Fiber in Multi-Functional Textiles" deeply analyzed the innovation trends and cross-field integration paths of the chemical fiber filament weaving industry, providing forward-looking insights and practical solutions for the industry. The national trend fashion show breaks the limitations of traditional static display, presenting innovative products such as bio-based fiber Chinese-style evening gowns and conductive fiber smart clothing through immersive performances. It showcases the fashion expressiveness of new textile materials in the context of national trend through the approach of "empowering aesthetics with technology", promoting the industry to leap from manufacturing to creation. An exhibition holds multiple values. The 7th China Textile New Materials Exhibition builds its layout through multi-exhibition linkage, solidifies its content with leading enterprises, enhances efficiency through precise zoning, and inspires creativity with diverse activities. It is not only a parade of industrial achievements, but also an industry hub that promotes technological integration, facilitates sustainable transformation and inspires cultural confidence. Here, new materials are no longer distant laboratory achievements, but the starting point of the future that can be touched, collaborated on and co-created. Source: Textile and Apparel Weekly |
