In the exhibition hall of Shengze National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center, an eye-catching white wall is densely posted with various titles such as "textile chip fiber Silicon Valley" and "Shengze Weaving Jia World". Looking from a distance, these fonts are cleverly condensed into two large words of "Shengze" under the artistic arrangement. With a strong visual impact, Shengze demonstrates the responsibility and mission of the national textile town in the new era. Shengze Town is one of the regions with the highest concentration of the global textile industry, with an annual output of more than 13 billion meters of various textiles, and a complete industrial chain supply chain "from a drop of oil to a piece of cloth". Backed by this textile town, the National Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center led by Shenghong Holding Group is one of the seven national manufacturing innovation centers in the field of new materials, and it is also the first national manufacturing innovation center led by private enterprises in the country. The total investment of the project is 1.15 billion yuan, covering an area of 225.5 mu, and the construction of an innovation center industrial park integrating research and development laboratories, testing centers and pilot bases is focused on overcoming efficient and flexible preparation technology of fiber materials, and developing key fiber common technologies such as cutting-edge fiber new materials. This is the 13th national manufacturing innovation center, the first national manufacturing innovation center in Jiangsu Province, and the first national manufacturing innovation center led by a private enterprise. The innovation center adopts the mode of "company + alliance" operation, relying on the market-oriented operation of Jiangsu New Vision Advanced Functional Fiber Innovation Center Co., LTD., bringing together more than 160 alliance members such as leading enterprises, well-known universities and research institutes to promote the linkage of high-quality innovation resources and accelerate the emergence of innovation achievements. By promoting scientific and technological innovation, accelerating the integration of innovation chain and industrial chain, driving the continuous upgrading of industrial chain, and activating the new quality productivity of the traditional textile industry. The display of the national flag on the lunar surface of the Chang 'e-5 mission is a classic work of cooperation between enterprises and schools. Developed by Wuhan University, it is based on domestic high-performance aramid fiber materials for special environmental requirements such as high and low temperature fluctuations on the lunar surface, vacuum and radiation, and adopts advanced embedded composite spinning and fabric processing technology. It has invented a number of post-finishing technologies such as color construction on the surface of the national flag and ultraviolet radiation resistance, achieving stable performance under extreme environment and long-term conditions on the lunar surface. The Innovation Center has not only made remarkable achievements in technology research and development, but also made important contributions to the development of the service industry. The "Thermal management application technology of graphene carbon nanotube composite conductive fiber and fabric" developed by the R&D team of the Innovation Center has been applied in many scenarios such as the thermal support facilities of the Beijing Winter Olympics and intelligent clothing. In 2024, this related technology has made further progress, the research and development team of the center has overcome the key technology of carbon nanotube composite conductive film, from laboratory technology research and development, pilot test base verification, to mass production, and achieved the breakthrough of core scientific and technological achievements from "laboratory" to "industrialization" zero, and truly went to the market.
